Shirt Complete!

I made my deadline.  Thank goodness.  Phil's shirt turned out pretty cool.

The back is pretty cool too.  I added color to the sleeves.

Snack Bags and Badassery

When I was a teenager, I was lucky enough to work at the haunted house at Celebrity Sports Center.  I was a monster during two Octobers.  I loved it.  I’ll never forget being in the Egyptian Room and watching the guy from Teletunes walk into the room.  I was frozen and sitting on top of a pillar.  I was well above his head.  I remember him physica

Snack Bags and Failure

I finally sat down at my sewing machine today.  I made up these snack bags, since we don't have enough.  I actually made a lot more than are here.  I had not sewn anything in 3ish weeks until today.  It has been awful.  I am ready to jump back in.  Gates is calling to me.

"Under The Sun" Done

I finally finished the "Under The Sun" quilt.  It's hard to tell in the photos, but the quilting came out really nice.

It was really hard to photograph.  I need to start taking my quilts outside I think.

April's Assignment

This is the first installment of Free Fiction Friday.  These stories will be connected.  This one is sort of out of order if there is any kind of order.  In the coming weeks, I will continue to post, and the frame will become clearer.  Until then, enjoy this one.

Doing Stuff for Other People Continued

I finally got 2 skirts made up for Skirting the Issue.  I made two very simple gathered skirts.  I really like the stripes.  My 5 year old picked out this fabric.

I love the flowers in this next one.

Summer of No Pants 2014 - Post #5

Last week, I quilted during the day and worked on this dress at night.  I bought the awesome Ghastlies fabric at least 2 years ago, and I always figured I'd make this dress which is a Kay Whitt design!  It's a McCall's pattern #6123.  I am done with patterns from McCalls for awhile I think.  I ended up putting on some decorative buttons to cover up a mistake.  You can't see it in the picture.

Doing Stuff for Other People

In the past couple of days some things have come together for me about helping others.  In my last quilting post, I discussed wanting to listen to the Anxious and Angry podcast, and I linked to an Off With Their Heads song.  Today, Dying Scene posted a link to an indiegogo campaign started by Ryan Young of Off WIth Their Heads.
