Summer 2021 Sewing

Hey everyone!  I've been missing for awhile.  Well, I knew where I was, but...

I got some things in the works right now that have been occupying my time lately.  Hopefully, by this time next month I can share.

What have I been making?

In May, I made another James FIsherman's Smock.  I love that shirt so much.  I went a size up from the last one I made, and it is quite a bit bigger.  I think I should have made the bigger size with canvas (40), but I made it (the 40) using 2 different linen fabrics that I bought from Lithuanian Linen, and it's swimy when I just have a regular t-shirt underneath.  I ordered quite a bit of fabric from Lithuanian Linen, to make the shipping worthwhile, and everything is amazing.  I'm so glad I finally ordered.

I am almost done with the Tattoo Quilt, but again I am running a month behind.  I hope to be caught up by the end of this month.  I have another quilt planned for this month too.  I'm not sure how much time I'll get to spend outside in June, lol.

The Respect Block was very time consuming and fairly difficult, but she is beautiful.

This week, I finished Kemper a pattern by Seamwork.  I'm on the fence about it.  It's a little to swingy for me.  It doesn't really show in the photo though.

What are your summer sewing plans?  I am working through my list of patterns - 1 from my stash, that I have not made before, every month.  So far, I have kept on track.  We'll see how June goes.  I have also picked up a whole lot of embriodery.  Lately, it's been mostly Kimberbell, but I hope to squeeze in an in-the-hoop clutch from Urban Threads.

The June 2021 Sewing Playlist is not complete.  Ridiculous!  Here's the link anyway: June 2021 Sewing Playlist

I am currently reading Gideon The Ninth and it is taking me forever.  I'm not sure why?

I am currently listening to Things We Lost to The Water, and it is so beautiful and heartbreaking.

As for listening?  I've been listening to the playlist that Spotify made of my favorite 2020 songs.  I know, I know, I gotta finish June's playlist!  Here's the Pet Shop Boys because - well - it's in my head.
