Dizzy Daisy Quilt
The quilt for my youngest daughter is finished. It took me YEARS. Mostly because I only worked on it sporadically. I put it on her bed a few minutes ago and took some photos. This means I only have TWO quilts left unfinished in the house! One of them just needs quilted. The other needs a border before I quilt it.
She chose all of the fabric. The fabric either all had the name Daisy or was daisies. I picked the pattern. It's the Dizzy Daisy Quilt by Missouri Star Quilt Company. The backing is flannel, and it's sunflowers.
I worked on quite a few projects throughout November, but I stalled out a bit after Thanksgiving.
Here are the pictures kind of in order of when I made them or embellished them:
I sewed the brown lbpullover prior to this, but I put the buttons on in November. I have a lot of buttons. The next one is the Emmie by Seamwork. I made that one out of double gauze, and I'm not convinced I like that pattern. It's pretty, but I'm not sure I'll do it again.
This is another lb Pullover, but I did not add the sleeves. It was made using sweatshirt fleece I got in a flawed fabric box from the Fabric Fairy. GREATEST box so far.
Colorado Fabrics closed in November for good. I am quite sad. I shopped the going out of business sale a couple of time so I could show support to the end. I bought this crazy red fabric and FINALLY made a pillow case for a pillow form we have had around the house for at least 2 years. The flipside is flannel.
This is Elvane by Melilot. I love her, but I made her out of a scrap of rayon, so I don't get to wear her for awhile.
This is Craggan in Harris Tweed. Yep. Rad.
Up next? I am working on the Night Garden PJ's for the last month of Sew My Style 2019. Next year I get to be a featured blogger for Sew My Style! Yay! I also decided that I would make some holiday gifts this year, so I need to get on that. So far none of them are done. EEK.
I have made myself a journal to use for next year. I don't know how to share it here. If I figure it out, I'll post it next time. I plan on making one pattern from my stash, that I have not made before, each month. I also plan on participating in all 12 months of Sew My Style. We'll see how it goes. I have made the journal pages on the computer. I plan to print them and hopefully add them to a binder, so I can be more organized.
I made my December Sewing Playlist, and I broke the 90 minute rule I decided on just last month. Oh well. I hope you like it. I have listened to very little else since I made it.
I am reading Hailey Edwards The Beginners Guide to Necromancy series. I'm almost done.
What are your sewing plans for 2020?
