Sometime, in the way back, I bought a 7" record by a band called Reason to Believe.  I love that 7" to this day.  It's called The Next Door.  Maybe you remember when I posted about finding the 7" at Chain Reaction?  And when I posted a photo 'cause I was so stoked to find it (even though I still own mine).

January Bag of The Month and BINGO cont.

Here's my January Bag of The Month.  I used some of my stash - the old Ragnar Mad Mod line - one of my favorites.

I now have 2 squares colored in on my Patterns BINGO card.

Pepernoot Hooded Coat Complete!

I spent a lot of time the past two nights finishing my coat.  The exterior is corduroy and as I was working the dye was staining my fingers.  What!?  So, today it's been washed and soaked and extra rinsed like crazy.  Hopefully it will be leaky no more when I take it out of the dryer.

BINGO - Let's Go! Also, Pepernoot Part 4

I started my Patterns BINGO Card.  The squares that I am currently working on are outlined.  When that project is complete, the square will be filled in.  Even though I started the Pepernoot Hooded Coat last year, I decided I would still use it as a BINGO project.  The Betz White pattern I am working on is the Backgammon Bag, and it is the January Bag Of The Month.

It's starting to look like a coat finally!  It's awesome.  I sewed the bodice pieces to the bottom pieces, then shoulder seams and side seams.  Next up, I need to get some interfacing bonded on.  I also have not even cut out the lining.  I'm feeling good.  I haven't sewed anything in 2 weeks or so.

Sewing BINGO rules – Sarah’s Way

The Game - There are 6 BINGO cards.  I intend on working on them beginning with my first project of 2016.  I am choosing (at this moment) to not overlap the projects.  So, even if I am using scraps and making a garment from a Peek-a-Boo Pattern, I am only going to block off a box on one of the cards – EITHER the Pattern Card or the Stash Card but not both.  I hope to only make things that appear on the cards for all of 2016.

31 Days... Things I learned

I learned that this challenge was too much for me.  I feel like a total failure.  BUT it's ok!  If you remember, I got a free copy of Zach Anner's book If At Birth You Don't Succeed,  I finished reading it yesterday, and I put up a review on Goodreads.  Free books are cool.  Writing for the public everyday, not so much.

Hemp Traders finally has scrap packs back in stock.  It's December!  All of my money is going towards gifts!  Darn it.  I hope they still have some in stock come January.  Bag of The Month starts in January and hopefully some of those scraps will work out for me.

Progress or Not

This 31 Day Blog Writing Challenge has sure been challenging.

The ONLY Christmas gift I am sewing will be started tomorrow.  Time, as usual, has gotten away from me.  This challenge is starting to make me sad.  I did not even get to sit at my sewing machine today, and right now... I just want to sleep.

Let's do the Spoonflower canvas 8" square freebie soon.  Maybe that will kick the creativity back in.

Yay!

The holiday cards are finally finished, stacked, and ready to be written on.  This week has not been the easiest, but I'm feeling better now, and I expect to be back at writing every day.

Here are some photos of this year's cards.

No, I have not purchased a new lamp.
